In this simple picture book, we see a robin’s life- through the changing seasons. The two-page illustrations are paired with evocative one-word entries. This title will be released on February 4, 2014.

This was a fascinating read of a boy who, despite having everything going against him, would become a saint. Defying social status, looking past one’s skin color, and respecting both humans and animals, “the Rose in the Desert” led an exemplary life with divine interventions. This picture book was the recipient of the 2013 Pura Belpre Award for Illustration.

I’m excited to recommend this new series to kids who love truly fun facts about animals! The vibrant and colorful illustrations add another level of enjoyment. If those weren’t enough, they cram more information at the end of the books! These titles will be released on February 4, 2014.
