Reading Resolutions: January Update

31 Jan

With so many Reading Challenges out there, I figured doing a monthly update of the ones I’m doing will be a great way to keep track of my progress!

Check Off your Reading List Challenge

Check Off Your Reading List– Currently my (ever growing) Reading List has 63 lines with some of them covering an entire series or author’s work and includes upcoming releases. Most of these are for my Reading Challenges. With 14 of these read and 1 deleted, I’m down to 48!

A to Z Children’s Picture Book Series– I thought I was finished with this challenge but I found a series by Emma Quay for my Q author! Depending on the format, the series is called Friends are Forever (for picture books) or Hello Friends! (for board books). There are more titles in this series but are only published overseas and the series there is called Friends for Keeps!

*Yummy Ice Cream by Emma Quay, Illustrated by Anna Walker
*Good Night, Sleep Tight by Emma Quay, Illustrated by Anna Walker
*Let’s Play House by Emma Quay, Illustrated by Anna Walker

*Puddle Jumping by Emma Quay, Illustrated by Anna Walker [**]- A cute addition to the series dealing with facing your fears.

Eric Carle
*What’s Your Favorite Animal? by Eric Carle and Friends

Oliver Jeffers
*The Hueys in It Wasn’t Me by Oliver Jeffers [*]- This is the second book in the Hueys series and I wasn’t ever a big fan of them in the first place so I was kind of disappointed he would continue on with them.

I was going over my other Reading Resolutions and came across these:
-Read one new release per month in Picture Book, Early Chapter, Middle Reader, YA, and Graphic Novel.
-Read one new release per quarter in Adult Fiction and Adult Non-Fiction.
