I reviewed one of the books featured here yesterday for New Releases. It’s part of a series- the two other titles I reviewed before and will include here as well.

Ordinary People Change the World is a new biographical picture book series from Brad Meltzer, best known as a bestselling author of adult thrillers. Positive and inspiring for preschoolers. Christopher Eliopoulos’ cute illustrations just add another layer of appeal!

Introducing young readers to these ordinary people who fought against stereotypes and/or injustice, the books have tackled various well-known people and their causes including Amelia Earhart’s determination to achieve her dream of being able to fly, Abraham Lincoln’s belief in equality for all, and Rosa Parks’s refusal to let others mistreat her and others just because of the color of her skin.

Future books will be about Albert Einstein and Jackie Robinson.

Read more about Ordinary People Change the World on its official website.

It’s cool to have some biographies available for our youngest readers. I still haven’t picked up one of these, but I keep meaning to. Thanks for the reminder.

I did not know there would be one on Jackie Robinson! I haven’t read the Rosa Parks one yet, I’ll have to put that one on hold. This is a fun series to read.

This seems like a great introduction to the lives of these wonderful individuals for very young kids. Thanks for highlighting them, Earl.
