This is a special elephant-themed post!

Elephants (Seedlings) by Kate Riggs [***]

Seedlings is a fairly new nonfiction series for kids. Readers are introduced to different animals through photographs and simple text. Includes a glossary at the end.

Elephants Swim by Linda Capus Riley, Illustrated by Steve Jenkins [***]

Wonderful collage illustrations and simple sentences invite the youngest of readers to see how different animals behave in the water. Additional information can be found at the back of the book.

For fictional picture books about elephants, check out this post I did for work: A Parade of Pachyderm Picks!

Aw, elephants! They’re such fascinating creatures. I don’t know either of these titles – thanks for sharing!

Another book by Steve Jenkins! I’ll never keep up. It looks great, plus will note the other series, too. We need lots of non-fiction for students of all ages doing research. Thanks, Earl.

I really like the Seedlings series. I did a post about them earlier this year. I have not seen Elephants, I’ll have to check it out!
