This week I’m celebrating Celebrating This Week’s 100th post, Ruth Ayers for creating the meme, and all the bloggers who participate.

It’s a great thing to intentionally reflect on the positive things in our lives, in the world, on a regular basis. Even when the going gets tough, that’s when it’s more important to find the silver lining.

There’s something to be said
For the opposites of life
The quiet and the noisy
The busy and the slow
The early rising and the sleeping in
The away and at home
The multitudes of family and friends or a dinner for two
Even in those times when there’s only you
Celebrate each and every moment
Celebrate the life you’re given

My Audio/Video Pick of the Week is a great interview between Stephen Colbert and Vice President Joe Biden. Very moving and powerful.

What are you celebrating this week?

Earl, This is just beautiful. I am going to try and remember celebrating the opposites in life.

Your words remind me of the passage from Ecclesiastes– A time to reap, a time to sow, a time for living and a time for dying… That passage calms me like no other. Thank you for the reminder. And I loved the video. Beautiful messages all around.

    Earl,
I’m drawn to opposites also. I love the juxtaposition between the two extremes. There is both tension and peace. I like the way you captured this in your poem.
