This week I’m celebrating my sister, Charmaine.

When she visited Portland

She would have been thirty on February 7th.

She remains forever in my mind, forever in my heart. And, it’s not always with sadness that I’ve been able to conjure up memories of her. I can think of Charmaine with fondness and gratitude.

I’m happy that in the short time she was here that it was full of love and life. She continues to inspire me and drive me because of what she represented. I want to live my life that’s unafraid to love. To be open to it. To look for it. To keep it. To treasure it. To give it. To be it.

Life is short. Love is forever.

What are you celebrating this week?

What a beautiful tribute. The reminder is always so powerful to live our lives well because it is fragile and we have such a short time here.
