Maya Lin: Artist-Architect of Light and LinesMaya Lin: Artist-Architect of Light and Lines by Jeanne Walker Harvey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I don’t know how or when I first heard about Maya Lin but I was excited when I heard about this book. I didn’t realize how young she was when she designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and how much pushback she got. It was fascinating to see how much nature was a big consideration for her designs, making them seem more like a natural art form rather than something obtrusive. Great for any aspiring architects or admirers of architecture.

This book just came in for me at the library! I feel like I often say that in my comments – I’m always about a week behind you in my reading!

I love Maya Lin’s work! I just recently read a NF chapter book about her by Susan Rubin which was wonderful–I’ll have to find this one 🙂
