Oregon Carnegie Library Challenge

Lots of things happened this past week. I’ll hopefully write about them during my monthly update post in a few days!

You Are LightYou Are Light by Aaron Becker

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love this book. The message. The design. It’s simple yet has an element that’s so unique.

Jacob's Room to ChooseJacob’s Room to Choose by Sarah Hoffman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A very timely picture book which hopefully lots of adults will read. Sequel to Jacob’s New Dress.

BabymoonBabymoon by Hayley Barrett

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Liked both the art and the message. I’m not the demographic but would recommend. Screams to be a board book.

Music for Mister MoonMusic for Mister Moon by Philip C. Stead

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sweet and a bit quirky with beautiful illustrations as to be expected.

The FarmerThe Farmer by Ximo Abadia

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I wish the story showed how the farmer was generous with his crop so the payoff would have been more satisfying.

I’m hearing such good things about You Are Light, so I hope to find that one locally. And I haven’t yet read Jacob’s New Dress, so I’ll add it and the sequel to my list right away. Thanks for the shares this week, Earl, and have a wonderful reading week!

Oh, I’ve read Jacob’s New Dress, and I didn’t realise it had a follow up, I’ll have to take a look for it.

You have so many books on your list that I want to read Earl. I loved Jacob’s New Dress and am especially keen to read this one.
