First of all, I was able to go on a library hop so this book lover is absolutely thrilled. You can read about it here.
I’ve moved over to The StoryGraph to avoid the Amazon-owned Goodreads. It’s still a learning curve and it doesn’t have some of the convenience Goodreads offers but, at least, I’ve been reviewing again. I’m trying this new format this week which saves me a bit of time but I wish they included the covers. I wish the covers were showing and I can differentiate between a kid’s book and one for adults and the different genres and formats.
You can view all my reviews over on The StoryGraph.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Happy Reading!
I have read of people, homeless, living in a cemetery, too, Earl. Thanks for sharing so many. I’ve noted some. And I loved reading about all the library hopping you did. I live only a block from one library & love that I can walk there, but there are two libraries I also go to that are not far when I find they have a book I want, each one different. Have a great week!
Hi Earl,
Just curious why you left Goodreads? Is it because they’re Amazon-owned or are there other reasons? Do you like The Storygraph better?
I’m asking because I just started posting to Goodreads myself. I loved this post. Library hopping is the best! Thanks for sharing how you’re changing things up.
I’m trying to move away from Amazon owned businesses but there are surprisingly a lot which is scary to have a monopoly over so many products and services.
StoryGraph has a lot of kinks since they don’t have all of the financial support of Amazon and it doesn’t have the social feel to it yet since not a lot of people are on it. I hope you give StoryGraph a try, though. Maybe you’ll be able to give me pointers, lol.
I hear you! I just finished converting my main and backup computers to Linux because I am so done with a certain OS that starts with W and ends with ws.
